Maddie and Zach’s intimate Chattanooga wedding at The Loft at Five Gables was the dreamiest summer garden wedding. The day was full of emotion, lots of color, and the love of Jesus flowed into every detail.
After a year and a half of dating and being engaged, Maddie and Zach finally had the perfect, whimsical wedding on a Monday evening in Chattanooga. Not only did Maddie choose the perfect venue for her day at Howe Farms (a stunning Chattanooga wedding venue!!), but she made sure the day was full of all of her favorite things. Pops of color, beautiful details, an abundance of flower, and the Lord.
I’ve known Maddie for years now and had the privilege of working alongside her in college as photographers for our university’s journalism department. Which is why it was such an honor to get to capture her intimate wedding day. This was my first Chattanooga wedding, and it absolutely did not disappoint.
The day started in the beautiful, eclectic bridal suite. This is where Maddie and all of her best friends got ready for the day. The bridal suite was blasting with Taylor Swift, filled with lots of laughter, and even some tears as the bridesmaids watched their best friend become a bride. And every detail- the shoes, the jewelry, the ring boxes- was perfectly curated and so intentional.
After lots of dancing and laughter, Maddie’s sweet mom helped her into her gorgeous wedding dress. Maddie’s dress paired beautifully with her cathedral length, beaded veil, and her stunning jewelry. Meanwhile, in the groom’s quarters, Zach prepared to see his bride with an intimate prayer alongside Maddie’s father.
And just like that, this intimate wedding day moved into the first looks. Maddie shared an emotional first look with her dad. Afterwards, Maddie and Zach shared their own private first look, where Zach got to see his beautiful bride for the first time.
After reading private letters to one another and taking portraits, the sweet couple got to reunite with their incredible friends and family for bridal party + family photos. Not too long after this, we finally tucked the couple away for some privacy before the ceremony
This beautiful, intimate Chattanooga wedding ceremony was breathtaking. Not just because of the views and the flowers, either. The raw emotion that filled the entire ceremony literally had us all in tears.
The ceremony started with a beautiful reading from the officiant, before transitioning into a sweet time of prayer and worship. Maddie and Zach’s friends and families poured over them with prayer, while the couple surrendered their marriage to the Lord.
After this intimate, emotional time, Zach’s father led the rest of the ceremony. During this time, Zach and Maddie shared vows, exchanged rings, and finally got to become husband and wife!!!
After literally everyone wept during the ceremony, the party finally started! The bride and groom entered the reception, got to eat delicious food, and then I got to steal them away for sunset photos!
We headed to the overlook located on the venue’s property and took beautiful sunset photos, with a gorgeous backdrop of Chattanooga’s mountain landscape. After these gorgeous photos, Maddie and Zach got to listen to their sweet friends give speeches, followed by cake and dances.
We finally ended this romantic, intimate day, with a fun send off for the sweet couple, sending them on their honeymoon!
This day really was so beautiful and full of so much joy. I was so honored to photograph it!
I told you… it was such a beautiful day, full of SO much emotion. And I just don’t know if I’ll ever get over it!!!
This was my first intimate Chattanooga wedding day, but I am so hoping it isn’t my last, because it was just so freaking good.
As always, if you are looking for a wedding photographer for your own intimate wedding ceremony or elopement, I would love to chat!
