I have got some good freakin news for you.
First things first... CONGRATULATIONS, GIRLFRIEND.
You got that ring on your finger (heck yes, sister!), you've set the date, booked the venue, started planning the day that you've been dreaming about since you were a little girl. And now you need your perfect wedding photographer.
You want a photographer who cares about more than just "getting the good photos." You want a wedding photographer who knows you, makes you feel safe, takes the time to listen to your story and see all the little details that make your relationship, yours.
Because when it comes down to it, your wedding pictures are more than just photos of you walking down the aisle or your mom zipping you into your dress.
Your wedding photos are your story- the big moments like walking down the aisle, the small moments like the way your honey squeezes your hand a little tighter, and everything in between.

Okay, so you just got engaged and now you're looking for your dream wedding photog?
Okay, hear me out... I am just so totally convinced that this is one of the most overused phrases in the entire wedding industry. And what I've found is that the words "raw and real," are often placed next to photos of different couples going through the same 10 repeated poses, and if that is frustrating to me, as a wedding photographer, I cannot imagine how confusing it must be for you.
Because your wedding photos should absolutely feel 100% authentic to YOU. They should have candids like the raw emotion on your soon-to-be husband's face when he turns around during your first look. Or the way your dad looks over at you while he's walking you down the aisle and fighting back the tears.
Which is why I believe in a documentary approach to wedding photography, with just the smallest editorial touch.
So what does that mean for you? It means I'm not leaving you in the deep end to sink or swim. It means I'll tell your boo thang to hold you how he normally would on an average Tuesday, and capture you two as you are. It also means I'll tell you if your hands look awkward and give you clarity and direction so you never have to wonder what to do next.
My goal is to give you space to be your most fun, quirky self, while making sure you feel comfortable, safe, and so totally not awkward in front of the camera.

Because wedding planning can be really freakin overwhelming, and you get to have YOUR wedding, your way. You are fun, adventurous, and full of life... so your wedding day should be too. Whether we're hiking up a mountain in Colorado, or headed straight to the courthouse, MY goal is to give you your DREAM freaking elopement.
Your wedding day isn't the beginning of your story. But it is the beginning of your marriage, a day that will live rent free in your mind for the rest of your life.
Yes, your gallery will be full of the beautiful veil shots, the silly bridesmaid photos, and the classic family photos. But it's so much more than that. It's the flowers you chose because pink is your favorite color. Your grandmother's handkerchief you're using to hold your bouquet. The tears in your mom's eyes as she watches your dad walk you down the aisle.
Your wedding gallery is all of those little moments, those little details, frozen in time for the rest of your days.
