I have got some good freakin news for you.
First things first... CONGRATULATIONS, GIRLFRIEND.
You got that ring on your finger (heck yes, sister!), you've set the date, booked the venue, started planning the day that you've been dreaming about since you were a little girl. And now you need your perfect wedding photographer.
You want a photographer who cares about more than just "getting the good photos." You want a wedding photographer who knows you, makes you feel safe, takes the time to listen to your story and see all the little details that make your relationship, yours.
Details like the way your mom smiles at you while zipping your dress. The look on your bridesmaids' faces when they see you in your dress. The tears in your maid of honor's eyes as she watches her best friend become a wife.
Because when it comes down to it, your wedding pictures are more than just photos of you walking down the aisle or your mom zipping you into your dress.

Okay, so you just got engaged and now you're looking for your dream wedding photog?
Okay, hear me out... I actually am all for the raw and real. Just not when those words are placed next to different couples going through the same 10 repeated poses (lol yikes). Yes, we WILL get those classic candids like the way your dad looks over at you while he's walking you down the aisle and fighting back the tears. And those beautifully unposed moments like the raw emotion on your soon-to-be husband's face when he turns around during your first look
But the truth is- your wedding photos should absolutely feel 100% authentic to YOU. Which means I'm not going to ask you do every single pose and prompt that I might ask other couples to do. The goal is to to really know you and your relationship and give you the poses and prompts that truly feel natural for you.
Which is why I believe in a documentary approach to wedding photography, with just the smallest editorial touch.
So what does that mean for you? It means I'm not leaving you in the deep end to sink or swim. It means I'll tell your boo thang to hold you how he normally would on an average Tuesday, and capture you two as you are. It also means I'll tell you if your hands look awkward and give you clarity and direction so you never have to wonder what to do next.
My goal is to give you space to be your most fun, quirky self, while making sure you feel comfortable, safe, and so totally not awkward in front of the camera.

Because wedding planning can be really freakin overwhelming, and you get to have YOUR wedding, your way. You are fun, adventurous, and full of life... so your wedding day should be too. Whether we're hiking up a mountain in Colorado to get those epic mountain photos, or headed straight to the courthouse for some dreamy "just married" pics, MY goal is to give you your DREAM freaking elopement.
Your wedding day isn't the beginning of your story. But it is the beginning of your marriage, a day that will live rent free in your mind for the rest of your life.
Yes, your gallery will be full of the beautiful veil shots, the silly bridesmaid photos, and the classic family photos. But it's so much more than that. It's the flowers you chose because pink is your favorite color. Your grandmother's handkerchief you're using to hold your bouquet. The tears in your mom's eyes as she watches your dad walk you down the aisle.
Your wedding gallery is all of those little moments, those little details, frozen in time for the rest of your days.
