Okay... hear me out. I do want you to have magical, dreamy, romantic photos of you and your cutie spouse pulling each other close for a kiss and spinning around at golden hour. And yes, we will for sure get the whimsical veil shots, the lovey dovey moments of the two of you locking eyes and giggling because you are MARRIED, and all the intimate little in betweens. And to me- that's exactly what it's about: not just the photos or the timeline or the picture perfect day, but the small, intentional, intimate moments.
Your photos should absolutely feel 100% authentic to YOU. Which means your images won't just be a copy and paste of your college roommate's, your sister's, or that girl you follow on instagram. It means I'm not going to ask you do every single pose and prompt that I might ask other couples to do (because I know that your relationship is different than every other couple's). The goal is to to really know you and your relationship and tell your story in a way that truly feel natural for you.
Which is why I believe in a documentary approach to wedding photography, with just the smallest editorial touch.
So what does that mean for you? It means I kinda lied earlier... I definitely DO care about your wedding photos. But I care a lot more about you and your story.
My goal is to give you space to be your most fun, authentic self, while making sure you feel comfortable, safe, and so totally not awkward in front of the camera
First things first, friend... I am so freaking pumped for you.
You got that ring on your finger (eeek!!!), you've started saving all your dream dresses to your Pinterest board, and now you are ready to start planning your dream day, your way. And you want your dream photos to reflect that (as you should).
You want a photographer who cares about more than just "getting the good photos." You want a wedding photographer who knows you, makes you feel safe, takes the time to listen to your story and see all the little details that make your relationship, yours. Details like the way your eyes well up with tears while you read your vows. The look on your groom's face as he takes in you in your wedding dress for the first time. The quiet intimacy of just you, your love, and your closest people, all together, on your day. Because when it comes down to it, your wedding pictures are more than just photos of you smiling at a camera.
Your wedding photos are your story- the big moments like reading your vows, the small moments like the way your honey holds you a little closer during your first dance, and everything in between.
from the little details, like your flower colors, to your most special moments, like that long awaited first kiss as newlyweds- every moment deserves to cherished.
whether your precious little lovebug just entered the world, or you just want pictures so you never forget when they were this little- every season is worth celebrating.
from inquiry to your session, every step of this process is about you. these photos are so fun, so romantic, so totally you.
